Our Country's Good and status

Officers and convicts, officers and officer or convicts and convicts.

The relationships between all of the above groups are a struggle of power. the status card game helped me see that each character has their own true status but depending on how they appear to others gives them their first status.

Between the officers the main relationships is seen between Ross and Ralph. Ross is presented as a no-nonscene character, while Ralph is an easier going character who tries to put himself at a higher status when the major is around. However Ralph's status never exceeds Ross's or gets close, as Ross is older and more senior in the army.
Ross would be considered a queen playing a king
Ralph would be considered a 10 playing a 10 high but not the top.
